Communication augmentative et alternative (CAA)

ISAAC (International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication) est une association internationale fondée en 1983 pour améliorer la qualité de vie de toute personne, enfant ou adulte, momentanément ou définitivement privée de la parole, en leur offrant d’autres moyens ou modalités de communication adaptés. Elle compte plusieurs milliers de membres dans plus de 50 pays.

La Communication Améliorée et Alternative (CAA) propose, des moyens palliatifs de communication (gestes, symboles, synthèses vocales, logiciels...), aux personnes qui ne parlent pas ou en difficulté de communication, pour favoriser leur développement personnel et leur intégration, aussi sociale que professionnelle.
